This is a butter keeper that uses an ancient technique of holding butter in water. By cutting off air access by filling the vessel with water, the butter inside the butter dish does not turn rancid. For this reason, it no longer needs to be kept in the refrigerator, so it always has the perfect consistency for spreading. The butter dish holds 125 g of butter at a time.

It was hand-made by casting mass into a plaster mold from white or mass-dyed porcelain. It is covered with colorless, shiny glaze in its entirety (white) or only in the middle (pink, blue and graphite), which makes the outside of the vessel satin and pleasant to the touch.

The dish is dishwasher and microwave safe. Instructions for proper use are an integral part of the product.
