The Crumpled series is presented in a minimalist palette of classic white porcelain. Its unusual form evokes the look of crumpled metal or paper. This surprising and technologically challenging design contrasts the distorted shape with the delicate nature of porcelain. The series includes vases and mugs in two sizes: a large one, perfect for tea or latte, and a mini version ideal for espresso. All items in the Crumpled series allow for playful use—they can be repurposed as small vases or containers for sauces or spices. Designed by Marek Cecuła, an award-winning ceramic artist whose works are featured in renowned collections worldwide, including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Museum of Arts and Design in New York. Born in Kielce in 1944, he established Modus Design in New York, which has operated in Poland since 2000. In 2013, he helped establish Ćmielów Design Studio, a modern design center of Polish Porcelain Factories. The studio combines craftsmanship with innovative technology and promotes contemporary Polish design globally. A new addition to the collection is a small crumpled teapot with a metal handle and four small cups, available in matte pink, indigo, and navy porcelain with glazed interiors. We thank you for choosing a product from Ćmielów Design Studio and hope you enjoy using our porcelain.
