About this piece
Pot with lid A ceramic pot with a lid is a very versatile ceramic dish. It is intended to store dry products such as flour, pasta, groats, rice and salt in the kitchen or pantry. However, those don’t exhaust its uses. Pots with lids have ribbed bottoms and can also be used for baking and serving food. Unlike most dishes by Bolesławiec, they are not decorated with stamps, but glazed in a uniform dark brown color and also fired at high temperature, which makes them resistant to damage. The pots can be used in the oven, stored in the fridge and washed in dishwashers. Thanks to the lid, the food does not get cold so quickly, and the top of the dish does not brown or dry out during baking. D-42 "spots” decoration This is one of the most classic and at the same time very popular decorations in Bolesławiec ceramics. You have cobalt circles with a white center and a cobalt dot transitioning into a cobalt cloud to choose from. The white circles are densely and randomly arranged. They appear organized, yet somewhat random. The colors used for decoration make it minimalist and elegant.
