Why cork
Cork is harvested from the bark of living oak trees, which regrow it — one of the few genuinely renewable materials in homeware. It's naturally light, warm to the touch, and quietly water- and stain-resistant, which is why it works as well for a vase or tray as it does for a trivet.
Its soft, matte texture is a deliberate counterpoint to glazed ceramic and glass — a cork piece adds warmth to a shelf or table without competing for attention. Wipe clean with a damp cloth; avoid soaking.
