Marta Wlazlinska
SCULPTOR, CERAMIST
Welcome, my name is Marta. In my artistic work I search for the indigenous element that binds social structures together, I am inspired by primitive cultures, tribalism, aboriginality, rituals of ancient cultures, shamanism, as well as legends, myths and stories recorded in word and writing. My other great love is literature, which I continue to explore as a source of knowledge about human beings. My sculptures are also an area dedicated to women in a kind of tribute to them.
Ceramics is a difficult love. While dealing with it, we polish our characters, learn humility, patience and how to treat it properly. It does not grace us with gratitude, it can be capricious and incomprehensible. The presence of the elements and their participation in the creation of my sculptures is in itself inspiring and consistent with my life path that I follow as a person who is attentive to the co-presence of nature, of which we are all a part. This is the most common theme of my works.
